"Our village Lamosangu in Sindupalchok had become and unsafe place to live during the war. I was 8 then when at least half a dozen trucks laden with people and their belongings departed from the village. My family was in one of those trucks. My mother was crying all the way to Kathmandu. Amidst all these memories I remember the mango sapling I had planted. It was something I wanted to bring with me but I could not. I hear it's grown into a big tree. It's very symbolic to me because it's one of the very few childhood memories I have. I am really happy that after almost 13 years I'll be going back to visit my village.
