"It is not easy coming from a broken family, especially when your mother is always sick and your father is an alcoholic. Money was always scarce and I wished to have mother treated in a good hospital. With this in mind, I went to Saudi Arabia where I found work as a housemaid. Life was scary in Saudi Arabia. I have memories of great suffering, ones that I wouldn’t even wish for my greatest enemies. I spent a year in fear and all I thought about was how to make it back home.
