"They told me I would be cured if I accepted their god. I had visited the hospital several times and spent a lot of money, but the doctors couldn't find a cure. I thought maybe I should listen to these priests so I decided to change my religion. Slowly, I did feel better and didn't want to give it up. However, the villagers did not approve of it. They said, 'He should not be allowed to pollute our environment.' In no time the situation escalated and the villagers confiscated all my property and banished me from my village. Now, I am not even sure if God exists anymore." (Kali Das Rai, Met him in Teen Number Pool, Parsa)
