“Father and I had constructed a new shed for the animals. We both would worry about all the animals being crammed together. We had convinced mother to lend us some money to build a new shed. In just two days we built the shed from scratch. It was probably the best shed I had seen. Father and I were both very happy to see more space for the animals. But with the earthquake it all came down in front of our eyes. We somehow managed to save the animals but they are homeless now. Our house remains but it could also fall down with any one of these aftershock. It’s hard waiting for something bad to happen.” (Amar Sapkota, Kera Ghari 2, Kavre)
