“I would actually give my life to protect and serve. Please take it literally. If someone was trying to cause you harm, I would protect you with my life.”
What the hardest part being in the police?
“It’s not hard when you know your duty. But sometimes when I am not in uniform and I am commuting I hear people talk bad about the police. Really derogatory. Sometimes back, I heard a mother tell her little son to ‘Keep quiet or the police will come and take you’. Such examples imprint negative sentiments toward police from early childhood. I admit there are a few rotten ones who give a bad name to the department but such generalizations hurt. There are many good policemen too.”
