“I work at the airport cargo here in Dubai. I am a bit worried going to work these days. It is a public place and I have to interact with people and also deal with handling goods. I have to touch things as it is part of the job. If the situation worsens, we may also get quarantined. We are also afraid of being let go. If the company tells us not to come and take an indefinite leave then we will run out of choices. And even if we were to return home, we would not be able to do what we have set out for. To be financially stable and support the education of our children or finally complete the half-built house or be able to pay back our loan. Going back to Nepal will not be an easy option. And not being able to go back is also the worst. I think of my sister and my mother who count on me. No job is waiting for us there. And what if you get the disease? It is not going to say you are rich and you are young. It will not discriminate.”
