Laprak
I could only stay in Barpak for a few days, last time I was there. I was disheartened because I was not able to go to Laprak even though it was right across the hill, only a few hours of uphill walk but I knew I was coming back. So, this time I went mainly for two reason, one, since the climate of the resettlement camp at Guptipakha is not as hospitable as the old village of Laprak and I wanted to see how the displaced population were coping with the harsh post-earthquake winter and secondly, for the sheer desire of travelling to a new place. What follows are stories from the resettlement camp of Laprak.
