“I served in the police for a while. I remember the trainer was a very mean man and the boys had to train all day. It was really physical, running and carrying kilos of what not. And these were men from all over the country who swore to protect civilians. However the system was such they were not fed well. I worked in the mess and I felt sorry for them. Meat was only served once a week and it wasn’t enough so I smuggled in chicken from the poultry every other day and cooked for them.”
