Before the chills of winter invade the hours of Upper Mustang, families can be seen migrating to lower altitudes for warmer climates. The villages up to Lo Manthang will now become nothing but abandoned households. Public transportation is non-existent in these parts but one can reserve a truck to come down to Jomsom, a transit hub for travelers. Here, a group of villagers leave Lo Manthang on a reserved truck to Jomsom.
