(Part 2/3) “We took her to Tulsipur. They gave her some medicines. And did some tests. That is where they said that both my daughter’s kidneys were damaged. All these hospitals and all these doctors and all these tests and this one tells me her kidneys are damaged. How could they not know? Did it happen overnight? The question still haunts me. They asked us that we take her to Kathmandu. As we were crossing the jungle of Chitwan, blood started running down from the side of her mouth and her nose. “Mother I will not live”, she said in a calm voice. Then there was blood everywhere. I pleaded to the driver. “Please hurry, please save my daughter.” He diverted to a hospital in Chitwan. When the hospital staff saw my daughter drenched in blood they said they suspected that I was responsible. I told them everything and only then they believed me. It was when they were taking my daughter to the ICU. I caught a glimpse of her eyes. The look far far away. Lost. I fell down. What they woke me up, my daughter had already passed away. She was a beautiful soul. If she had been diagnosed properly, maybe she would have been alive. I would have happily given both of my kidneys. That day, I died with her too.”
