Dhanisara Singh Gadigaun, Dailkeh

(Part 1/2) ” ‘I will go get grass. Please prepare food and look after our son’, was what he said before he left that day. Cutting grass was something that he did on a daily basis, after all, we need to feed those animals. He would go every morning and evening. After he left, I gathered some vegetables and went into the kitchen after feeding my son. When the food was ready, I waited for him to return. But he did not return home. I started worrying. He was not the kind of person who would wander around after work. He would come back straight home. I expressed my concern with my father in law and he and a few other people went looking. They found him unconscious lying on a pool of water. He had fallen down a cliff and into the water while cutting grass. When they bought him home he still had his breath in him. They took him to the hospital. But they told me to stay home. “You take care of your son. We will take him to the hospital. Nothing bad will happen. I stayed home praying to god and all the time we had spent together.”
