“He is growing up and starting to demand things. Some of which I am not able to give. My eyes well up when I see him disappointed. But I promise him that I will buy a better present for him the next time. But I think he knows that it is just mother’s excuse to make him stop crying. He does not leave my side even for a single moment so I do all my work carrying him. At the end of the day, I am very tired. When I am done putting away the dinner dishes, I just doze off by his side. The next morning I wake up and his sleeping face is the first thing I see. I quietly sit there and watch him breathe while he sleeps. Watching him sleep is the happiest time of my day.”
